For over 50 years Global Physician Network has provided exceptional emergency medical care, education and innovation in Sarasota. We have grown to provide additional services in the healthcare industry practicing excellence in all that we do.
Our Physicians provide excellent Emergency Medical Care at Hospitals and Urgent Care Centers which are a part of The Sarasota Memorial Health System spread across Sarasota County Including Venice and North Port, Florida.
In addition to providing care GPN Physicians also participate in operating the ACGME approved Florida State University College of Medicine Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota Florida. This is also the official cite for FSU College of Medicine Medical Student Rotations in Emergency Medicine.
Our Physicians participate in creating innovative models of Education in areas of Simulation and Point of Care Ultrasound. Our Team boasts of a strong record in conducting studies and presenting the results at National and International Meetings in addition to publishing our work in PubMed Indexed Journals.

One of the largest public health systems in Florida, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System has continually evolved from its beginnings in 1925 as a 32 bed hospital maiden county hospital.
SMH Today, is a full-service public health system, with two hospitals offering specialized expertise in heart, vascular, cancer, orthopedic and neuroscience services, as well as a state-of-the-art cancer care center and a network of outpatient centers, urgent care centers, laboratories, diagnostic imaging and physician practices, skilled nursing and rehabilitation among our many programs. With the opening of Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice in fall 2021, SMH is able to provide south Sarasota County residents convenient access to the same level of care and 5-Star physicians, staff and systems available at our SMH-Sarasota Campus. SMH-Venice features 110 private rooms, a 28-room Emergency Care Center, 8 surgical suites, 10 birthing suites and a pandemic-ready intensive care unit.
Sarasota Memorial is powered by more than 10,000 staff and is Sarasota County’s largest employer. Over 750 members of the community contribute their time and skills as hospital volunteers; this includes the 9-member Sarasota County Public Hospital Board elected by local voters, governs Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.
